Food advertisement

I been scroling through the internet lately staring at food, and food and food, now my entire Instagram and twitter feed is full of food porn. And then i started to wonder to myself, those these foods really look they are? Are they purely perfect or this is just a trick?. For example this picture that i stole from my twitter page called @foodporndaily.

Doesn't it look like you could just lick your mouth right now. And what surprise me the most was this particular page has in total 500K followers. just imagine the amount people would follow this page just to look at pretty food picture. Doing a deeper research about food advisement, i found out things that i neve knew i will bump into which was  the hack and tricks of how food advertisement make their product in front of a page or magazine so perfect. But does it really looks the perfect in real life?. the sad truth is NO, IT DOESNT. and i read through various type of article, and a majority of authors make their statement clear, that these pictures are just for an eye comfort for the audience, or sometimes, an escape for people who have eating disorder.

Tricks and effects are added to lure the public eye to get our attention, and end up buying their product. Ever wonder why your ice cream doesn't look that still in real life? for example this picture

you  might think its ice cream, well its not, did you know its mashed potatoes

that are scooped using a ice cream scoop, and the color are food coloring and additional toppings will be added to give more illusion that its a legit ice cream, Blew me away, how much we believe just by looking, how much they could play with our heads with their own creativity. Their designs holds a lot of power, they can manipulate our minds by us getting their product, they can choose our food by their advertisement. Majority of companies to publish a very frequent amount of advertisement when it some to food is fast food, for example the most popular one among us college teens is McDonald's.

Their poster is everywhere, you can see them in every billboard, and you'll tend to hear ti hear their commercial in Spotify, these fast food isn't healthy, then again nobody says fast food is ever good. But do we blame these food advertisement for our unhealthy choices? for me it will be that they are powerful companies and they have the power to fool us to out food in their food, but humans are clueless, and we believe everything we see, therefor i don't blame them for our unhealthy choices, but i strongly believe that they have the power to manipulate a statement to a designs.

Ice cream advertisement that looks overly perfect.
