Textiles have been one of the most prestige arts and craft that Malaysia ever have . it has been around seen Malacca best ever told history. I've when to our very own textile museum and it completely blew me away, how much has we evolve, and how much effort was given for each piece. Each motif and designs has their own stories and history. Its crazy how during ancient types every pattern of cloth were hand-made with human efforts. ill applauded to a haut-couture designer but i have much respect those who hand-made batik, Sari, kebaya and etc.

After exploring there type of technique of  cloth making, i also relaize that many modern style are much similar to those techniques such as (Batik ikon celup) with now is called tie dye. imagine small batik details but using a tie dye technique, IT BLEW MY MIND!!! how can such detail batik can be made by tie dye when now tie dye only focuses only one design. There was also a section in museum where you are abel to sit down and watch the history of textile in Malaysia, and learn how was fabric itself was introduced, and which country was our main dealer for oder fabrics, and it was India, and most fabric trading happened in Malacca, where the heart of trading is . After this particular section i also made a realization that I've actually learn this in high school in the subject "Sejarah Malaysia" but i never tend to understand the whys and the whats, but after that watching the video i was more clear about it, this actually shows how much a person can absorb when graphics and good explanation are actually given.

There was also i sections where they show accessories of each race actually meant, and how does a full traditional costume actually look like traditionally, it came of all types of races, Melayu,Hindu,Cina,bajau,Suluk,Kadazan and so much more. when i looked at the kadazan  costume, i realize i wasn't  wearing the full traditional costume all this time, and i myself is mixed blood of Chinese and Kadazan. But notice all the accessories that was shown. Malaysia doesn't just focus on the details and designs on the fabric but also focus on how does each accessories actually look like and that is what makes a traditional costume so special and rare to see in the modern day
